Rain Projections | Precinct 3
Updated forecasts from the National Weather Service project that Montgomery County may receive up to 8 inches of rain as a tropical disturbance approaches the Texas coast.

Rain Projections | Precinct 3

Residents should prepare for periods of scattered showers and thunderstorms through Thursday.

The heavy rainfall could cause flooding on streets and in low-lying areas. Residents are advised to stay off of roads during periods of intense rainfall. Those who must drive should proceed with caution and avoid standing and rushing water. Please observe high-water crossing signs. Creeks and tributaries also could experience a fast rise in water during the storms.

Residents can monitor the current stream levels and view forecasts for creeks and tributaries by using the NWS Advanced Hydrologic Prediction Service at https://water.weather.gov/ahps2/index.php?wfo=hgx.

Precinct 3 Commissioner James Noack’s office will have staff ready to respond to any issues that arise throughout the weekend.

This week, Precinct 3 crews have been clearing ditches and major drainage areas of debris to help prevent blockage and ensure water drains properly. For debris in county right of way and ditches, please call the Precinct 3 office at 281-367-3977.
